Join us for a wander and a wonder
May's Outdoor Church Outdoor Church will meet AS USUAL at 4pm at St. John's for a shorter shady walk celebrating Pentecost - please bring sunhats and suncream!
There had previously been plans for a last walk of the Vale Pilgrimage routes but due to the heat we have decided to cancel that.
Outdoor Church is a chance to be together outside, for all ages; to go for a Wander nearby, taking time to be aware of our Creator around us as we explore, and to Wonder about the world he gave us
Each relaxed and informal session meets usually at St. John’s Churchyard, going for a mini-adventure of about 1.3 miles (there’s a shorter option if you can’t manage that, and even a group who stay at base), with ideas to help us think about the theme of the day - chat with others as you walk, or just have a think by yourself.
Reward at the end!
At the end back at the churchyard there'll also be a hot chocolate or tea/coffee - who knows, we might even need a cold drink(!), a craft activity and then a final prayer at about 5.30pm.
🐾 You can bring the dogs if they’re well-behaved, same goes for the grandparents! Dogs need to be on a lead though - as well as possible livestock in fields, not everyone loves our four-legged friends as much as us!
