Confirmation literally means confirming your Baptism vows – if you were baptised as an infant, then vows were said on your behalf; when you’re older you may wish to confirm these vows for yourself.
All candidates, whether young or old, will go through a course of preparation. This course aims to give the candidates a vision and commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church, and to encourage the candidates to have involvement in the Church Life with worship at the centre.
Before young people are confirmed, the family will have a pastoral visit by a member of the Ministry Team to establish whether the candidate still wishes to go forward with Confirmation.
Also, a regular member of the congregation will be invited to be a Sponsor.
N.B. The names of those confirmed will be held on a database at the Team Office.
